A Love Letter To Whiskey by Kandi Steiner - Review

A Love Letter To Whiskey, is a beautiful, emotional story. I enjoyed every second I spent reading it.
For a standalone book, I thought the author did a great job of not rushing the story along. Although, at times, I did feel that some parts of the book did not need to be drawn out so much.

The characters go through a very emotional, long journey. You see where the story begins with them and when they finally, after so long, eventually really get together it is beautiful and shows that if you love each other and you meet your soul mate, the universe will always work it's loving magic.

The heartache through this novel is palpable, I could feel the intense emotions running through the characters, which made you not want to stop reading to find out what happens next.

The 'whiskey' analogy used throughout the book is clever, it adds a unique undertone to the story and ties it all together perfectly.

This was my first book by Kandi Steiner and I have to say I am a massive fan and will definitely be reading more of her work.

This book gets 4 stars from me.

   BLURB

It's crazy how fast the buzz comes back after you've been sober for so long.

Whiskey stood there, on my doorstep, just like he had one year before. Except this time, there was no rain, no anger, no wedding invitation - it was just us.

It was just him - the old friend, the easy smile, the twisted solace wrapped in a glittering bottle.

It was just me - the alcoholic, pretending like I didn't want to taste him, realizing too quickly that months of being clean didn't make me crave him any less.

But we can't start here.

No, to tell this story right, we need to go back.

Back to the beginning.

Back to the very first drop.

This is my love letter to whiskey. I only hope he reads it.
